HUMBOLDT, Iowa--Residents of Humboldt can now interact with a number of city departments after the recent launch of a new online bill payment system that accepts credit cards, debit cards and e-checks, online and over-the-counter. The services enable online interaction with the Library, Parks and Recreation, and City Clerk departments, and are found online at www.cityofhumboldt.org.
“We’re so pleased to offer this new service to our residents,” said Gloria Christensen, Humboldt City Clerk. “We have had many people call or come into the office requesting online payments, and providing these services creates greater efficiency within our office.”
The city partnered with Iowa Interactive, LLC of Des Moines, to provide payment processing solutions online and over-the-counter. The new online system, its payment module, reporting tools and maintenance are provided at no cost to the city and operate under a self-funded model in which online services are developed, deployed and maintained at no cost to government.
